Sharing: Really? Wow! You don’t look sick! [PTSD]

The whole “but you don’t look sick” misconception also applies to people experiencing PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). While I don’t consider people experiencing PTSD as “sick”, per se, it is indeed a condition that deserves gentleness and respect.

PTSD is another human condition that warrants and deserves awareness.

I’m sharing this not only because I’ve been diagnosed as PTSD, but also because several close family members and friends have been, too, and I want to extend that love and support to everyone.

Additionally, many Asperger’s/autistic people experience PTSD as well.

I’m right there with you.  For six years, I didn’t know that I was, but thanks to an astute counselor/therapist, I’ve known for almost two years now.

There are a lot of us who experience PTSD without realizing it.

People experiencing PTSD, you’re never, ever truly alone.

This is a beautiful blog post; very well-written and an excellent read.  🙂 ❤

Much love to all ❤

  2. Thank you, friend. PTSD has been showing me how real it can be again today. Helps to remember others know what I am dealing with.
